3 Easy Steps to Setup Your Verdmo

STEP ONE.

Install Batteries and Download App

Visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and download the Verdmo app. Open it up, and sign up to get ready to setup your Verdmo. Remove the battery door on your Verdmo, remove the battery holder, insert two AA batteries. Put everything back in place and you're ready to go!

STEP TWO.

Follow on screen direction to connect.

In your Verdmo app start by clicking Add a Device and continue to follow the on screen directions. Make sure you are close to your Wifi router and all network and password information is entered correctly. Before you know it your Verdmo app will be connected! Name your Verdmo what ever you want and get ready to place it in the ground.

STEP THREE.

Soak ground and insert Verdmo.

Pick the location where you want to place your Verdmo. Using a hose or watering can, water the area thoroughly. Let the water soak into the soil and then apply water again. Repeat this process at least three times. Press your Verdmo against the ground and slowly push. Your Verdmo should slide into your soil without too much resistance. If you find it difficult try adding more water to the area. Once your Verdmo is fully inserted you're done!

RESTful API

Verdmo now offers an API to give you the flexibility to connect to the other services and devices you want, such as Opensprinkler, Hunter Hydrawise sprinklers, or Thingspeak to display your data online. Information, connection details and examples are available here.

Webhook

Use Verdmo's webhook feature to easily connect to IFTTT or other services. Through IFTTT you can connect to your Rachio or Rainmachine sprinkler system, or even Google Assistant or Hue lighting. More details, information and examples are available here.

How far will my Verdmo work?

WiFi distance depends on a lot of things, environment, obstacles, weather and the strength of your wifi signal. While we can't guarantee the connection range, your Verdmo does include a WiFi strength indicator so you know where to place it. Of course if you have any issues just contact use and we will be happy to help!

Can I connect more than one Verdmo to the app?

Yes, of course. Add as many as you want to your Verdmo app and be able to check each one within the app, set different alert levels and make your yard happy.

Do all of my Verdmo's need to be on the same WiFi network?

No. Each Verdmo you connect can be setup on a different WiFi network allowing you to use extenders or other routers with different names.

How many Verdmo's do you suggest for my yard?

If you are planning to use Verdmo to connect to your irrigation system, we recommend one per zone. This will allow you to automate watering for each zone only when your soil really needs it, and not on a schedule. If connections are not what you are planning then we suggest placing a Verdmo in each area you want to monitor or are concerned about. If your vegetable garden always seems too wet, let Verdmo help you out. If your lawn in the front yard just never seems right, Verdmo can help. Feel free to contact us to help with a plan on where Verdmo's would work for your yard.

What sprinkler systems does Verdmo connect too?

The easiest way is to connect to Rachio and Rainmachine sprinkler systems through IFTTT. Verdmo works with webhooks to allow you to trigger those sprinkler system each time your soil gets too dry. We also have an API that can be used for other integrations depending on your needs. Documentation and examples are coming soon!
